What Saktoo knows about you

Saktoo is run by one person in Los Angeles. The short version: the quiz works without an account, an email address is optional everywhere it is asked for, and nothing you give it is sold or handed to a data broker.
The short version
- Saktoo does not sell your personal information, and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
- Saktoo does not ask for your phone number anywhere, and does not want it.
- The quiz, the scores, the maps and the data downloads all work with no account and no email.
- There is no advertising network on this site, and no ad tracking pixels.
What gets collected
Quiz answers. Your budget, commute destination, and preferences are sent to the scoring engine and stored against a random session id so results can be reloaded and shared. They are not tied to your identity unless you choose to add an email.
An email address, only if you give one. After results render you can ask for a link back to them. That address is stored with the session and used to send you that link. If you arrived through an agent's co-branded link, the page says so before you submit, because that agent can see it.
An account, only if you make one. Saved neighborhoods and quiz history are tied to an account created with an email address or a Google sign-in. Authentication is handled by Supabase; Saktoo never sees or stores a Google password.
Product analytics. Which pages get opened, which sliders get moved, whether a quiz was finished. This runs through PostHog, proxied through this domain rather than loaded from a third-party host. It records behaviour on the site, not who you are off it.
Local browser storage. Map settings, saved explorer views and in-progress quiz state are kept in your own browser. That data never leaves your device unless you sign in and choose to save it.
Who else processes it
Saktoo runs on Vercel and Render, with a Postgres database on Supabase, and uses Resend to send email. Maps are served by Mapbox. Addresses and commute times are resolved through the Google Maps API, listing data comes from RentCast, and the written explanations on your results are generated by Anthropic's API from the scores, never from anything identifying you. Articles are stored in Sanity.
These are service providers doing a specific job. None of them are given your data to use for their own purposes.
What Saktoo will not do
Saktoo will not sell your information, rent it, or pass it to a data broker. If that ever changes, this page will say so before it happens, not after, and there will be a way to opt out that does not require an account.
Neighborhood scores are never influenced by anyone who pays. Agents who use Saktoo buy branding and client tools, not placement. That rule is described in more detail on the about page.
Deleting your data
Email support@saktoo.com and ask. You do not need an account to make the request, and you do not need to explain why. If you have an account, deleting it removes your saved neighborhoods and quiz history with it.
Children
Saktoo is meant for adults looking for housing and is not directed at children under 13.
